You want change

but something is holding you back?

The more you try to be something you’re not,
the more you’re likely to stay right where you are.

SVEN WERNER

I’d be glad to support you on your journey

My way of working draws on gestalt therapy, systemic coaching, psychodrama, body- and breath work and  aims to help you become more aware of your habits and fixed patterns that influence your personal experience and the way you relate to others.

I work in regular one-on-one settings as well as in groups and, depending on the issues you want to work on, I may invite you to combine one-on-one and group work in our process.

One-on-one

Our process together will depend on the issues you want to work on. Combining talking therapy and experiential methods, I offer a space where you are welcome exactly as you are and can experience the way you relate to yourself and the way you reach out into the world without judgement - on a cognitive, bodily and emotional level.

Groups

  • Hero / Heroine Journey

The Hero / Heroine journey after Paul Rebillot is a powerful, magical and transformational process of self-discovery, drawing on gestalt therapy, psychodrama, bodywork and breath work. Together with a group of people you will withdraw from day-to-day routines and spend 7 days in a secluded and safe location.

  • Gestalt Groups

A lot of our personal experience is linked to the way we relate to people around us. Gestalt groups allow you to heighten awareness of and experiment with the way you interact with others in different situations. They offer its members the opportunity to explore personal issues with the support and participation of people also interested in understanding themselves and the mysterious ups and downs of their lives.

SVEN WERNER

Besides gestalt therapy and systemic coaching, I have also trained in leading transformational self-discovery seminars after Paul Rebillot, including the 7 days Hero / Heroine Journey, which I continue to facilitate several times a year for Irgendwie Anders in Germany and since 2024 also in the UK.

My curiosity and passion for people and their individual paths started a long time ago. After graduating from business school I worked for a few years in corporate jobs in Munich and Vienna, specialising in leadership, innovation, and HR, including personal development of trainees. I realised then that although, many people find fulfilment in the working life, a high number of people suffer from work related anxiety.

I trained in systemic coaching and experimented with my own form of one-on-one coaching at the time, which I called Visionary Journeys, consisting of myself and my coachees embarking on a several days long journey (with open destination), with me striving to connect the outer and inner journey, allowing the one to inspire and feed the other and vice versa.

Parallel to my work with people, I also have an ongoing fascination for art, our imagination and the creative process. In order to remain true to my own personal development, I completed an MA in Arts and Cultural Management in Cambridge, followed a few years later with a degree in film studies at the National Film School of Ireland in Dun Laoghaire and have now been working as independent artist and filmmaker for over 10 years. I exhibit internationally and both, my immersive art installations and my films have earned some recognition, including winner of a Scottish BAFTA in 2017. I increasingly allow my experience as artist and creative to become part of my work with people, alongside plenty of space for emotions, a curious and focussed mind, humour and honesty.
